Saturday, we spent most of the day with my family. My nephew, Tyse, got baptized. It was fabulous.
It was a stake baptism, so there was another little boy that also got baptized. That also meant Tyse didn't get to ask someone specific to give the talks. The talks were by the stake. So, while they tried to personalize it--it just wasn't the same.
Following the baptism, Jarom confirmed Tyse. Now THAT was awesome. You could really feel the Spirit. I will give more details if anyone wants them. But, I will just say that Jarom really humbled himself and truly became the conduit for the words.
After lunch, we all went outside to help Jarom build a shed. But, first things first: knock down the old shed. Mark and Dustin did most of this because the others all went to Home Depot to get the supplies for the new one.
Knocking down the shed took less time than getting the supplies...so while we were waiting, we wrestled and tickled and tortured the kids out on the front lawn. Yes, that is me squishing Mark...with my niece and nephew strategically located on my personage.
When the supplies finally arrived, work began. Well, kind of. Jarom hadn't figured things out yet...so we spent some time waiting for him to draw it all out. (Apparently, he had it all drawn out--with that paper sitting on his desk at work.)
Taevyen and I played in the dirt for a bit, until he found the hammer. Then he wanted to show the other kids (he ran out into their game of soccer waving it at them)...so we had to take it away from him.
