Physical Therapy

Not only have we had feeding therapy, but we have taken Emma to physical therapy. Why? Because she has poor muscle tone and the hope was that if we strengthened her neck and core, the muscle tone internally would get better. This, we hoped, would help her with eating and keeping food down.

I honestly can’t tell you if it’s helped in that regard. But, it hasn’t hurt. In fact, it’s been kind of fun. Emma finally started rolling over three days before she turned six months old. She’s also been able to grab things better. Yes, her reaching and grabbing was delayed too.

Emma has done some things that Zachary didn’t do (or skipped?). These include “finding” her hands and “finding” her feet. Zachary never was interested in his fingers and he never grabbed his toes. It’s been really fun for me to see Emma studying her body.

She also likes rattles, something that Zachary never really found interest in.

So cute! Sounds like it's been a really good investment. And so precious to see her grabbing her feet. That's my favorite in babies. Awww....
